What are UPC GS1 guidelines?

UPC GS1 standards are designed to improve the efficiency, safety, and visibility of supply chains across physical and digital channels in a wide variety of sectors. They form a business language that identifies, captures, and shares key information about products, locations, assets, and more.

12-digit UPC The first six digits are used to identify the company that makes the product, and then the first 3 digits that identify the country where that company is from. After the country code comes to the company or the number of digits, basically whatever space that prefixes with an agent can be used for products, so the GS1 organization pricing company codes based on their length.
